In their drive to develop a Mediterranean-inspired masterpiece, these doctors didn't forget the basics. An efficient floor plan and plentiful interior and exterior windows helped wow competition judges and win Westminster Veterinary Group in Westminster, California, Veterinary Economics' 2002 Hospital of the Year award.
Hospital design judges applauded the floor plan's smooth traffic flow and ample windows. "It's absolutely beautiful throughout," said one competition judge. "I couldn't find a negative aspect of this hospital," remarked another.
